Twitter’s current design  offers a very user friendly layout, with all its features readily available on-page. And among the features the company introduced in its design overhaul back in December, the Discover tab offered features outside of the basic newsfeed and around the Twittervierse. It displayed the trending topics, recommends other users you can follow, and the lists down the stories that you might find interesting. Earlier today, however, social media company revamped the tab to present content that is even more personalized to better deliver what is meaningful for its users.

“Starting today, the Discover tab will begin to surface content that is even more personalized, and meaningful to you.” said Satya Patel, VP of Product over at Twitter. “We’ve incorporated additional personalization signals to select Discover stories, including tweets that are popular among the people you follow, and the folks they follow.”

The so-called “personalization signals” are most likely a further refinement of the filter that helps choose which stories would be appearing per user. After clicking on the Discover link at the top of the Twitter interface, you are directed to a page that displays those stories, accompanied by the content’s complete title, a story summary, and a direct link to the off-site source.

Clicking on each of these stories will show the tweets that referred to them, from the most recent and popular users in your network.

These users’ profile pictures are also emblazoned below the source link, to let you know who tweeted about these stories at a quick glance. From here, you can also reply, retweet and favorite these tweets, or even share these stories and add your own take with the “Tweet this story” link.

Like before, the page still recommends people to follow, and enables you to browse the social network for specific categories.

This improved iteration of the Discover tab will roll out within the next few weeks to Twitter.com, and for the accompanying apps for iOS and Android devices.
