It seems today that everyone and anyone who is famous is using social media. From famous celebrities like Oprah and Ashton Kutcher to even the President of The United States , social media has officially arrived. Still, one question that some are asking is where the most famous plumber in the world is? Where is Super Mario and why isn’t he using social media?

If you look at Twitter and Facebook, Super Mario has yet to break into the social media community. For someone as famous and iconic as him, it makes us wonder, what if Super Mario used social media?

After some difficulty in verifying that he really was the real Super Mario, Mario would probably love Facebook because of its’ great photo sharing capabilities as well as having an opportunity to interact with all his fans and friends. He may just be a plumber, but he is one plumber you would probably add to your friends list or follow on Twitter. Who wouldn’t want to get a notification saying that Super Mario has accepted your friend request or that Super Mario is now following you? Aside from the childhood memories we all had of playing Super Mario Bros. and spending hours upon hours searching for the keys to the next ‘world,’ social media has not only been great for networking and staying in touch with your friends and co-workers, but it also has a fun side to it in that you can follow or be friends with people you normally wouldn’t be able to. In this case, it would be Super Mario himself.

Batman has is own Twitter account and Superman has his own Fan Page on Facebook. Perhaps it’s time the man in the red hat and blue overalls joined the party.
