In a world with countless social media management tools for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Google+, many SMM and brand managers are sadly robbed of the opportunity to search and find relevant content and ideas for Pinterest, which has already been driving more traffic and revenue than most of the major social networks since 2012.

Through customized filters and hashtags, social media management tools like HootSuite allow you to immediately see what other users are saying about a particular topic or your company across different social networks. However, there hasn’t been a decent tool or capability like this for Pinterest. Unfortunately, right now, many SMM managers and brands don’t have a seamless platform they can use to interact with their customers. Wouldn’t it be great to be able to use a tool that will help you view rave reviews or brand mentions in their pin description?

In terms of content curation, how helpful would it be to easily find and pin the exact pictures you’ve been searching for? With a social media management tool for Pinterest, curating and managing boards that are directly targeted to your audience could be accomplished with ease. Also, if your profile contains relevant content and keywords, more potential customers would be able to find you and start following boards they like. This could also swing the other way, making it easier for you to find potential followers or customers, just like how you would probably do it on LinkedIn or Google+.

Good social media management tools like Hootsuite, Tweetdeck, and Google Trends give brand and marketing managers the chance to find trending topics in their industry by monitoring certain keywords and hashtags. While these tools could easily accomplish the task using algorithms and data points, applying this to a visual social networking platform like Pinterest would definitely be a sight for sore eyes. A decent tool for Pinterest would not only help you and your target audience find which topics are trending, but also determine and view relevant and beautiful photos related to them.
